Testimonials Everyone we help is treated individually. Below are detailed personal accounts of buying property abroad from some of our clients. We hope that their experiences will help to illustrate the value of using us to help you too.

We chose Eurosettlers to help us because when we met them we knew instinctively that we could trust them. They arranged our flights and accommodation and we looked at the area around Nerja in the Costa del Sol. We were looked after by Jamie, who works with Eurosettlers in the Axarquia region. Once we had a feel for the area we were shown new and resale properties based upon the information we had given. We fell in love with the area, which is very picturesque, and put a deposit on a plot of land on the edge of Lake Vinuela.
When friends and family in the UK knew we were going, they told
us about companies that had helped them. We arranged
to meet up with some of them whilst we were in Spain. The
problem was that every one of the companies we saw seemed
intent on selling us what was best for them, rather than listening
to what we wanted. We felt like we were banging our heads
against a brick wall!
Since returning to the UK we have received regular progress reports
and pictures.
Maureen & Frank Lane - Barnsley, South Yorks "Frank and I had been on viewing trips and they had been a disaster. We were close to tears and thinking of giving up the idea of moving abroad when we noticed a display in one of our local property shops. We went in and told them about our experience of trying to buy
in Spain. The lady in the shop phoned Robert's company straight
away and he arranged to come and talk with us. At the meeting we
explained that we had sold our bungalow to move to Spain. We had
been on viewing trips to Costa Blanca with two well known companies,
and on each occasion were frustrated in our attempts to see the
type of property in which we were interested. We kept asking to
view property that we saw that was for sale and each time we were
told that it wasn't possible. In the end both companies realised
that we weren't going to buy one of their properties and just left
us to fend for ourselves. The next four days were spent getting used to the area and looking at property. We started out with the idea of buying a detached villa away from the crowds. I'm a very keen gardener and wanted to be able to get up early to potter about in the garden. Eventually, however, we ended up buying a town house in Torrox Costa, from a Spanish lady. After looking around we had decided that we wanted to be close to local amenities, and Ciara found us a property in town, with a garden, that was perfect for our needs. Frank and I were very nervous about the transaction, as we had heard so many horror stories about 'illegal builds' and inheriting other peoples debts on the property. There were a couple of small issues with the deeds but the solicitor we were recommended was very good and sorted them out for us to our satisfaction. Robert kept reassuring us that everything would be fine, but you are nervous all the same. Whilst the transaction was going through we rented property close by. We preferred to be on hand just in case we were needed. When we moved in we needed lots of help and support and Ciara was unbelievable. she even took us shopping! It took us a while to settle in and adjust to the new way of life but whenever we needed help we only had to ask. We can't speak highly enough of the service we received." "We
wanted to move abroad for health reasons. Shirley suffers
from arthritis and we liked the idea of being in a country with
a warm dry climate. We have a large family so ease of access
for them and us was an important factor.
We
then learnt that our youngest daughter was moving to Gandia in Costa
Blanca. We had a difficult decision to make because we
loved the area but wanted to be closer to her. In the
end we made our own arrangements to go and look at the area
she was moving to.
The
following day we met up with Mark. He arranged to show us some
properties based upon our criteria. Nothing was too much
trouble for him. He kept us informed at all times and explained every
step of the process. We saw several properties that we liked
but were undecided. Not once, however, were we put under any
pressure to buy.
Robert explained that the companies we had been abroad with specialised
in selling new property. Apparently they normally work with only
selected developers and weren't able to deal with the 'bespoke'
and resale properties in which we were interested.
